About Jenna Milly

Jenna Milly is a feature and television writer. She is the co-creator of the TBS microseries Gillian in Georgia. In 2009, she wrote and directed the short film, A Peacock-Feathered Blue, on 35mm. She also writes, directs and produces independent films.

She earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a M.F.A. in Screenwriting from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television. Jenna currently writes for EW.com, Yahoo! Movies and is also the host of the official ScreenwritingU.com screenwriter podcasts.

  2. Hi Jenna, I had a question about using well-known icon buildings or places in a screenplay. Is there an email address I can use to send you a question about a screenplay I’m currently working on? I simply want to make sure that I can use a well-known place/event as the backdrop for my romantic drama. Thank you.

  3. Hi Film Shark! Best to write me here so others can see the response, but off the top of my head, seems like you could use anything you want. But if you look at the new Tower Heist movie, the idea is that it takes place in Trump Towers, but they have renamed it for copyright reasons. So, in that case, you might have to think of an alternate name. Hope that helps!
